Introduction

This privacy notice tells you what to expect when Animate Training collects personal information about you. It applies to information we collect about:

What information we collect

We only collect personal information about you where it is specifically and knowingly provided by you, such as when you register with us or engage with us for training. This includes your name, address, contact telephone numbers and email address. We treat all such data as personal data for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 2018.

 

Where we store your information

The data we collect is stored on information technology systems owned and operated by Animate Training. All information you provide to us is stored securely. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet or email is not completely secure and although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted over the internet via our website or by email; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use all necessary procedures and security measures to try to prevent unauthorised access, loss, disclosure or amendment

 

Use of emails

If you send us an email, the information you provide will be used to help us gather the information requested and to respond to your message. 

What we do with your information

We offer our various services to the public and, for example, we send out confirmations of bookings, communicate information by email, send publications and distribute an electronic newsletter.

 

We need to hold the details of the people who have requested our services so that we can provide them. However, we only use these details to provide the service the person has requested and for other closely related purposes. For example:

  • to confirm services, appointment times or rearranging appointments.

  • for managing accounts and internal record keeping.

  • to carry out a survey to find out if people are happy with the response they received to an enquiry.

Job applicants, current and former employees

When individuals apply to work at our company, we will only use the information they supply to us to process their application and to monitor recruitment statistics. Where we want to disclose information to a third party, for example where we want to take up a reference or obtain a ‘disclosure’ from the Criminal Records Bureau we will not do so without informing them beforehand unless the disclosure is required by law.
 

Personal information about unsuccessful candidates will be held for 3 months after the recruitment exercise has been completed, it will then be destroyed or deleted. We retain de-personalised statistical information about applicants to help inform our recruitment activities, but no individuals are identifiable from that data.


Once a person has taken up employment with our company, we will compile an electronic file relating to their employment and log and monitor employee personal information. The information contained in this will be kept secure and will only be used for purposes directly relevant to that person’s employment. Once their employment our company has ended, we will retain the file in accordance with the requirements of our retention schedule and then delete it.

 

Visitors to our websites

When someone visits www.animatetraining.com we collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. We collect this information in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. We will not associate any data gathered from this site with any personally identifying information from any source.
